Air freight at Frankfurt airport
Frankfurt Airport - Frankfurt airport expansion for air freight. Der is one of the main centers of global logistics in Europe. The companies that have settled in the Cargo City South, where it built its own terminals for cargo handling read like a "who's who" of global logistics.
In June of this year, where the foundation stone for a new cargo service center of Lufthansa Cargo AG was established that the cargo-handling areas Lufthansa - will expand by one third - about 70,000 square feet in the hall CargoCity north of the airport. At the same time opens up the largest cargo airline at Frankfurt airport, which changes here yearly 1.5 million tons of cargo, new customers among carriers and freight specialists operating in the south of the airport.
Look at the Frankfurt Airport Cargo City Süd - Europe is the most important hub for air cargo with this investment decision, the system partner Lufthansa, Fraport AG Frankfurt Airport expanded its position as Europe's most important air cargo hub continues. More than that: half of all air cargo is handled by 20 airports worldwide, and in that order, occupied the airport Frankfurt
7th place, after the cargo specialists Memphis and Anchorage as well as the Asian giant Hong Kong, Shanghai, Seoul and Tokyo.

Elegant Side Step
- Side loading large refuse containers and no contradiction
The pressure to streamline the management of waste and recyclable material removal has included the use of advanced vehicle technology such as side tippers. Recent studies show that successful large refuse container systems (MGB) with the use of side tiping vehicles for the high mechanical stress were not yet grown. The MBF system would like to set a new standard.
(10.09.07) based in several years of research on practical tests for the analysis of the kinematics of rear and side loaders beds as well as finite element analysis in ever-optimized simulation models showed that cause modifications to the existing MGB system is not sufficiently reliable and durable products . The solution to all problems, therefore, required a completely newly developed container system.
Of the Sulo Environmental Technology in cooperation with the vehicle manufacturer Faun MFB-developed system, consisting of the circular lifting for side-loading vehicles and the multi-function container, is now to all requirements. The containers are approved for use with side tipper vehicles. In addition to the specially adapted to the circular lifting the MFB MFB is also compatible with all commonly used lifting devices. That is also good if you have side tipper contracts in mineral ores.

By Rolf Zamponi 14th August 2010, 08:48 clock
The half year result is above the level of 2009. Hamburger Port and Logistics AG works from nearly nine percent more containers.
Hamburger harbor and Logistics AG manufactures from nearly nine percent more containers in Vergeich to the previous year.

Hamburg. The Port of Hamburg has made the turn at the envelope. Once after the first quarter, the number of containers handled was still around four percent below the previous year, was exceeded by the end of June the previous year. Thus, according to information from the Evening Gazette in the first six months of the year more than 3.7 million standard containers (TEU loaded), after it had 3.6 million TEUs last year. Also the total throughput increased year on year from 54.2 million to more than 58 million tons. On Monday, the Port of Hamburg will provide marketing data for January to June. In the Rotterdam container throughput increased by 18 percent in the half year to 5.4 million in Bremerhaven by 11.9 percent to 2.4 million TEUs.
